CONSENT AGENDA The following items are proposed as a consent agenda. This means the entire list will be voted on with no amendments to the items. The items chosen for the consent agenda are items that the Annual Conference secretary has determined to be routine and those that do not have specific rules regarding their adoption. An item can be removed from the consent agenda by the following process: a) a motion made to remove the item; b) a second to the motion; c) a vote of ¼ of those present and voting to approve the removal of the item from the consent calendar. The item will be then placed on the agenda for later discussion and vote. The items on the proposed consent agenda for the 2025 Annual Conference gath- ering are: LI 101—Designation of Historic Sites LI 102—Equitable Compensation (removed by vote) LI 103—2026 Advance Specials and Five-Star Challenges LI 104—Affirming our Health and Welfare Ministries LI 105—Funding for Congregational Redevelopment for Sandoval UMC LI 106—2026 Health Insurance Allowance (removed by vote) LI 107—2026 Rental-Housing Allowance for Retired or Disabled Clergy R202—Conference Board of Pensions and Benefits Report
Legislative Item 100: Organizational Motions
Subject : Organizational Motions Submitted by : Rev. Dr. Camilla Hempstead, Conference Secretary Estimated Financial Impact: None Be it resolved,
1) That the bar of the annual conference shall be all seats designated for voting members in the plenary hall of the Peoria Civic Center and all members signed into the online participation platform provided by the Committee on Annual Conference Sessions. The bar shall also include the immediate areas of those who are operating television cameras, the sound system, and recording equipment; the secretaries’ room; and any other seats designated for voting members in the room. Non-voting participants who are allowed to be seated in the bar of the conference include: guests of the annual conference, spouses of the Extended Cabinet, Illinois Great Rivers and Episcopal Area Office staff, and other persons needed by the Committee on Annual Conference Sessions to provide assistance and hospitality for members of the annual conference. Seats designated for voting members of the conference are seats at tables. The visitors’ section in- cludes seats without tables in theater style arrangement located at the rear right and left of Exhibit Halls B and C. Voting members of the annual conference will be seated within the bar of the annual conference for recognition and voting pro- cedures; and
