Leanne Roseberry asked a question. Joy Schlesselman spoke in favor. Tabitha Nelson spoke in favor. Kim Woods spoke against. Vote on the Isbell amendment Yes–280; No–393. Amendment failed. Michael Haerr spoke in favor of original legislative item. Sheryl Palmer spoke in favor. Ted Hartley spoke in favor. Rob Dillingham asked for clarity about whether the time could be negotiated to be at the beginning of an appointment using the language of the item. The answer was yes. Shalom Renner spoke against. YOUTH MEMBERSHIP ON CCYM: Nathan Jeffries presented LI 113. Jeffries explained that the item was designed to codify the definition of “youth” to align with the Book of Discipline . It would also allow for the nomination of enough youth to have a functioning Conference Council on Youth Ministries. Those speaking in favor: Tim Delaney, Kyan Stuart. Elizabeth Wild asked a question about the ability of youth on the CCYM to leave the council. Shandra Sommerville made and retracted an amendment. VOTE ON THE ITEM.
