b) Members must be a baptized or professing member of the United Methodist Church and have completed 5th Grade. c) Members shall be chosen by the CCYM Adult Chair and Associate Coordinator of Camping and Youth Ministries (or equivalent confer- ence staff member) in consultation with the Director of Connectional Ministries (or equivalent conference staff member), considering the need for diverse representation. d) Once a member is chosen and notified, they shall be granted full mem- bership on the CCYM with all the rights, privileges, and obligations that entails. e) the membership of the CCYM shall not exceed five youth and two adults per district, the Adult Chair, and conference staff. f) all youth members of the CCYM shall retain their membership until September 1st of the year they graduate high school or, should they leave school early, the year they turn 18. E. IGRC Connectional Table 1. Purpose: The purpose of the Connectional Table (CT), in cooperation with the Bishop and on behalf of the Annual Conference, is to discern, focus, guide, and articulate the mission, ministry and vision for the IGRC through the setting of missional goals and priorities. The Connectional Table will also be responsible to fulfill the objectives and tasks as listed below on behalf of the Annual Conference. 2. Objectives: Since each annual conference is responsible to focus and guide the mission and ministry of The United Methodist Church within its bound- aries, the Connectional Table will seek to do so by: (¶ 608, 2020/2024 Book of Discipline ) 3. Envisioning the ministries necessary to live out the mission of the church in and through the Annual Conference, a) Creating and nurturing relationships and connections among the local district, Annual Conference, and general church ministries; b) Providing encouragement, coordination, and support for the ministries of nurture, outreach and witness in districts and congregations for the transformation of the world; c) Ensuring the alignment of the total resources of the Annual Conference to its mission; d) Developing and strengthening ethnic ministries, including ethnic local churches and concerns; e) Providing for advocacy and monitoring functions to ensure that the church is consistent with its stated values. 4. Tasks: a) Set missional priorities and goals for the IGRC b) Assess the missional effectiveness of various Conference Boards, Com- mittees and programs c) Coordinate the program life for the IGRC around missional priorities d) Cooperate with CCFA in assessing financial needs and recommending to the Annual Conference a budget that meets the missional needs of the IGRC e) Cooperate with CCFA in the establishment and supervision of a budget development process
