h) Commission on Camping & Retreat Ministry (assigned tasks of ¶629.1.b-c) 6. The Illinois Great Rivers Conference may have these committees which can be created and defined by another existing committee. The committee responsible for these committees shall work with the Conference Com- mittee on Nominations to develop a process for appointing or electing its membership, reporting its membership to the Conference Committee on Nominations, setting its goals and purposes, and determining when it shall be disbanded: a) Committee on Evangelism (responsible to Board of Discipleship) ¶630.3 b) Disaster Response Committee (responsible to Board of Global Ministries) ¶632.4.b.22 c) Health and Welfare Committee (responsible to Board of Global Minis- tries) ¶632.4.b.27-36 d) Committee on Africa University Partnership (responsible to Board of Global Ministries) ¶634.4.a.6 e) Episcopal Residence Committee (responsible to Conference Committee on the Episcopacy) ¶636 f) Committee on Alain Rocourt Endowment Promotion (responsible to Board of Global Ministries) g) Rural Fellowship and Commission on Small Membership Church (re- sponsible to Congregational Development Committee) ¶633.5.4.a & ¶ 645 h) Conference Committee on Lay Servant Ministries (responsible to Board of Laity) ¶630.6 i) Conference Committee on Criminal Justice and Mercy Ministries (re- sponsible to Board of Church and Society) ¶657 j) Conference Committee on Journal Publications (responsible to Confer- ence Committee on Annual Conference Sessions) ¶606.3 7. In addition to other committees which may support its mission and ministry, each District of The Illinois Great Rivers Conference shall have these com- mittees which are nominated by each District Committee on Nominations, reported to the Annual Conference Committee on Nominations, and elected by the Annual Conference: a) District Committee on Ministry ¶666 b) Committee on District Superintendency ¶669 8. These general rules shall govern the composition, tenure, leadership, and nominations of Annual Conference and district committees except when elsewhere defined by The Book of Discipline , IGRC Bylaws, or an Annual Conference approved policy statement. a) Composition of Committees: Committees shall be composed of at least five (5) members, nominated to give special attention to geographic diversity and in accordance with ¶610.5 of The Book of Discipline to give special attention to the inclusion of clergywomen, youth, young adults, older adults, persons from churches with small memberships, people with disabilities, and racial and ethnic persons. c) District Board of Church Location and Building ¶2519 d) District Committee on Lay Servant Ministries ¶668 e) District Committee on Nominations
