Ricky J. True 1954-2024 Ricky J. True, 70, of Richview, the surviving spouse of the Rev. Alice Faye True, died Oct. 14, 2024 in Richview. He was born on Jan. 30, 1954, in Centralia, the son of Louis and Patricia (Murray) True. He was united in marriage to Alice Mont- gomery for 35 years, and she preceded him in death Sept. 23, 2014. He later married Bobbie (Fletcher) Vaughn on June 30, 2024, and

she survives his passing. Ricky was an over-the-road truck driver for many years. He was a member of Richview UMC for more than 40 years. Ricky enjoyed socializing and talking to people. He loved his family and dog dearly and cherished the times he spent with them. Survivors include his wife Bobbie Vaughn-True of Richview; son, Jason (Jennifer) True of Centralia; five grandchildren, Jeremiah, Easton, Carson, Jayla and Jett; brother, Michael True of Woodlawn; sister, Patricia True of O’Fallon; nephew, Craig Panzau of New Baden; niece, Stacey (Michael) Hall of Shiloh; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Alice True; son, Micah True and nephew, Chad True. A memorial service for Ricky J. True was held Oct. 23, 2024 at the Richview UMC with the Rev. Mark Myers officiating. Cremation rites were accorded. Inurnment followed at Richview Cemetery.

Roy Wallace Trueblood 1934-2024 Roy Wallace Trueblood, 90, a beloved servant of God, died Oct. 24, 2024, in Alabama. Roy was born in Decatur March 11, 1934, a son of Archie Monroe and Mildred Margaret (Shinn) Trueblood. He grew up during World War II and was raised by his mother and grandmother. It was his grandmother who took him to a Pentecostal church where he

received Christ as his Savior and was baptized. At age 17, Roy was called into the ministry. While serving as a student pastor at Mechanicsburg, Chestnut and Kenney, he earned degrees from Millikin University and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. In 1962, Roy was appointed as an associate pastor of Charleston Wesley and became the first Director of the Wesley Foundation at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, In 1968, Roy was appointed to attend school, where he earned a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Northwestern University. After serving in several counseling positions at Kendall College in Evanston, Piedmont College, Demorest, Ga., and the Indiana Counseling and Pastoral Care Center, Roy joined The Atlanta Consulting Group and became a successful management consultant who trav- eled the United States and several countries abroad training corporate managers in human relations skills. He was granted honorable location in 1979 and honorable location retired in 1996. Upon retiring from The Atlanta Consulting Group, Roy and his wife, Jackie, began Part- ners in Ministry, a program where they wrapped the principles Roy taught in the business
