He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Paul Johnathon Riley; sisters, Marion Ray- burn, Muriel Zaderaka, Dorothy Fuller and Francis Bierly and one brother, Arthur Riley. A Memorial Service celebrating the life of the Rev. Donald Ray Riley was held Oct. 11, 2024, at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Cremation rites were accorded, Private burial of cremains was in Oakland Cemetery in Meredosia.
Martha L. Roberts 1940-2025
Martha L. Roberts, 84, of Paris, formerly of Grandview, the widow of the Rev. L. Raymond Roberts, Jr., died March 10, 2025, in Paris. She was born July 9, 1940, in Charleston, the daughter of the late Kenneth W. and Theodora (Stevens) Craig. She married Rev. L. Ray Roberts on June 6, 1958, in Charleston. He preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 2017.
Survivors include two daughters, Lucy (Kevin) Trine of Paris and Ruth (Bob) Adams of Sullivan, Illinois; two brothers, Jim Craig of Waverly, Ohio, and Tom Craig of Warsaw, Indiana; three sisters, Marjorie Grimston of Charleston, Judy Atchison of Tucson, Ari- zona, and Christine Pantle of Paris; nine grandchildren, Logan (Olivia) Trine and Lindsay (Michael) Rea both of Terre Haute, Indiana, Kody Trine (Merya Livingston) of Paris; Kendra (Josh) Rea of Seelyville, Indiana, Kara (Caleb) Coleman of Kansas, Illinois, Layton (Alyssa) Trine of Grandview, Illinois, Emily (David) Bruce of Washington, Indiana, Jacob Adams of Sullivan, Illinois, and Melanie (Chandler) Brinegar of Bloomfield, Indiana; eight great-grandchildren (with a ninth great-grandchild expected in July); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Craig; a sister, Devona Dollar; and an infant granddaughter, Kristin Faith Trine. Martha was very devoted to her husband and daughters and exceptionally proud of her grandchildren. She not only embraced her roles as preacher’s wife and homemaker but also looked for ways to serve others outside the home. She was an active and dedicated member of Paris Otterbein UMC where she served in more ways than can be listed. She was proud of her EMT certification and her 12 years with the Findley Ambulance Service. She also enjoyed working seasonally with the Edgar County Treasurer’s Office. For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Red Bird Mission of Beverly, Kentucky, or to Otterbein United Methodist Church of Paris. Services celebrating her life were conducted March 15, 2025, at Paris Otterbein UMC with Rev. Troy Horne officiating. Graveside services followed at Mound Cemetery, Charleston.

Martha Sabo, 90, widow of the Rev. Robert E. Sabo, Sr. and the mother of IGRC retired pastor, the Rev. Robert E. Sabo, Jr., died March 6, 2025. Martha was born Oct. 13, 1934, in Louisville, Ga., a daughter of Wil- liam McNeely and Latisha (Funderburg) McNeely. A true Georgia Peach, Martha was known for her sweet Southern accent, stunning
