BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the Annual Conference.

Legislative Item 114: Exploring the Sale of the Conference Center Subject: Authorization for the Conference Board of Trustees to explore sale of the Conference Center Submitted by: Jim Barnett Estimated Financial Impact: To be determined. WHEREAS, the number of conference staff working from the Conference Center has declined over the years; WHEREAS, COVID pressed us to discover other ways to meet, effectively reducing meeting costs; WHEREAS, the recent outage of air conditioning utility at the Conference Center demonstrated that larger group meetings could be accommodated at local churches and other venues; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Conference Board of Trustees explore the possibility of selling the Conference Center and find more economical ways to provide office space for remaining conference operations. After due exploration the Trustees will present a cost/benefit analysis including additional meeting options as part of the Trustees report at the next Annual Conference. Legislative Item 115: Financial Support for UM Camp at Little Grassy Subject: Financial Support for the UM Camp at Little Grassy Submitted by: Friends of Little Grassy UM Camp (Jim Barnett, Lynette Barnett, Nicole Cox, Kelsey Ross, Mary Baker, Matt Sherrill, Rob McCoy, Mark Koester, Emma Dunn, Ellie McCoy, Lindsey Sherrill, Josie Lash, Brenna Martin, and Todd Krost) Estimated Financial Impact: $300,000 annually for 2 years WHEREAS, the camping and retreat ministries at Little Grassy have had a significant impact on the lives of children, youth, and adults for well over 50 years; WHEREAS, camping ministry serves an essential role in fostering faith in Jesus Christ and historically is one of the strongest evangelist programs supported by the conference; WHEREAS, the camping ministries have historically developed persons committed to pastoral ministry and lay ministry through the years;
