3. Envisioning the ministries necessary to live out the mission of the church in and through the Annual Conference, a) Creating and nurturing relationships and connections among the local district, Annual Conference, and general church ministries; b) Providing encouragement, coordination, and support for the minis- tries of nurture, outreach and witness in districts and congregations for the transformation of the world; c) Ensuring the alignment of the total resources of the Annual Confer- ence to its mission; d) Developing and strengthening ethnic ministries, including ethnic local churches and concerns; e) Providing for advocacy and monitoring functions to ensure that the church is consistent with its stated values. 4. Tasks: a) Set missional priorities and goals for the IGRC b) Assess the missional effectiveness of various Conference Boards, Committees and programs c) Coordinate the program life for the IGRC around missional priorities d) Cooperate with CCFA in assessing financial needs and recommend- ing to the Annual Conference a budget that meets the missional needs of the IGRC e) Cooperate with CCFA in the establishment and supervision of a budget development process f) Develop special Task Forces when appropriate to facilitate the work needing to be done on behalf of the IGRC to meet our missional pri- orities and goals g) Review suggestions for special offerings before they come to the floor of the Annual Conference and set the dates for special offerings once approved by the Annual Conference h) Promote networking among the various Board, Committees and Task Forces to prevent redundancy and enhance greater effectiveness 5. Accountability: The table shall be amenable to the Annual Conference and work in consultation with the Bishop. 6. Membership: a) The Chairperson of the Connectional Table shall be the Bishop in residence or his/her designee; the designee shall be amenable to the Bishop b) The voting members shall include the following 21 persons: 1. Chairperson of the Board of Church and Society, 2. Chairperson of the Board of Discipleship, 3. Chairperson of the Board of Global Ministries, 4. Chairperson of the Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry, 5. Chairperson of the Board of Ordained Ministry
